Celebrating a Legacy of Faith: KBCF at 50 Years

About us

As we mark the golden milestone of fifty years, we pause in gratitude to look back at how God has graciously entrusted KBCF to a journey of proclamation, training, multiplication, and mission-outreach. This is more than an anniversary—this is a testimony of faith in action, a story of ordinary believers empowered to become salt and light in their spheres.

Proclaiming the Good News

From its early days, KBCF has taken seriously the Great Commission—to know Jesus and to make Him known. One of the landmark ways this has been lived out is through the ministry of Evangelism Explosion (EE). KBCF has hosted EE clinics and trained countless believers in personal evangelism and witnessing. Through these clinics the church didn’t simply add numbers—it sought multiplication, equipping people to lead others into faith and then to train others themselves. This means our witness did not stop at one generation but aimed to ripple through many.

Equipping Believers for Influence

The measurable growth of KBCF is not just in numbers but in the depth of discipleship and the breadth of influence. The church has been intentional in equipping believers—men and women, young and mature—to live as salt and light in workplaces, homes, communities, and beyond. This vision lives on in ministries like the IGNITE Youth Network and others. kbcf.org.ph The church’s stance has been: the whole life matters for the Kingdom, not just the Sunday service.

Producing Home-Grown Pastors and Workers

From the pews to the pulpit; from Sunday school to full-time service—KBCF has seen home-grown pastors and full-time workers raised up within its own fold, not only serving within this local body, but stepping into both local and international ministries. This is a remarkable achievement because it signals not only growth in size, but growth in depth—people who have been formed, mentored, commissioned, and sent.

Sending Missionaries Worldwide

KBCF’s mission has had global dimensions. A missionary-sending mindset has been not an afterthought but part of the DNA: “sent” believers launching into other lands, other cultures—partnering with missions agencies, with sister churches and other organizations to carry the gospel far. As the church puts it in its mission statement: to know Jesus and make Him known.

Planting Daughter Churches—Multiplying Locally

Another mark of KBCF’s legacy is its commitment to church planting. Over the decades, KBCF has birthed over a dozen daughter churches, many of which have gone on to plant their own daughter churches around the country. This multiplication reflects the vision of expansion, of not merely anchoring in one place, but branching out in obedience to Christ’s command. While specific numbers of each plant may not be posted publicly, the pattern is clear: from one fellowship in Quezon City to a network of fellowships across the Philippines.

Partnerships in the Wider Body of Christ

KBCF has not been an island. From associations with the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC) to training partnerships, outreaches and missions collaborations, the church has embraced the value of working in concert with others. These partnerships have broadened its reach and enriched its impact.

A Look Back, A Look Forward

Fifty years is a significant milestone—and yet the story is far from over. As we reflect on achievements—evangelism training, discipleship, church planting, missions-sending, leadership development—we also lean forward in expectation. The same God who enabled the past five decades is the one who holds the next chapters.

We celebrate lives changed. We honour service given. We rejoice in the network of believers everywhere who trace their spiritual roots or service pathways through KBCF. And we anticipate what God will do next as we continue to be “church on mission” in Metro Manila, across the Philippines, and to the ends of the earth.

“To God be the glory for what He has done, and what He will yet do as we step into the next fifty years—together, grounded in faith, united in mission.”

“A church after God's own heart that multiplies disciple-makers, leaders, and congregations.”
